Joel was my neighbor when we both lived in Carnation, WA. So many great memories with this man. Poker on his back patio, golf, guided fishing trips to the Deschutes River in Oregon, Ho River in Forks, WA. Lots of chats about life. My three sons also had many great times with "Mr. Tibbetts". Ryan: "I remember pulling weeds in his yard and doing a terrible job but he was still nice to me." Michael: "Absolutely a good man." Anthony: "Rest in peace Mr. Tibbetts. Lots of good memories with you." Thank you Joel for your service to your country and thank you for many good times and laughs.

Sad to hear that’s the last of the older generation of Tibbetts brothers. My memory of Joel is sitting in Montrose Scotland 2000 with Wayne my husband and brand new baby Mannie. He came to visit to see where my dad Jim Tibbetts ( Joel’s brother) ashes were scattered. As we talked he not only looked so like my father, but he tapped is foot and leg in the same way my father did!! Was such a similarity!! I loved Joel’s smile and chats that day. Love to you all. Love Renee From London.

Facebook brought our family together in 2009. I’m grateful that we connected because I’d been missing that piece. However, I am more grateful I got to build a relationship with Uncle Joel, he was a part of my dad. Now that piece is gone but I have the fun memories, here’s one of the last things my uncle said to me this October. He leaned over and said Seriously, what the F… is wrong with you”. I started laughing so hard. If you knew uncle Joel this was his way of showing love. Thank you uncle Joel for the memories. Suzanne ❤️

Dad- You are already greatly missed... I keep waiting for your call or text, planning for our next dinner or another outing. I've listened to the few voice mails I had saved and am so grateful I saved them. Like any father & daughter, we had our share of ups & downs. I have so many memories of good times and laughs that I will always treasure. I love you and thank you for your strength and support during times I needed it... XOXO
