Obituary of Samuel Walter Grimm
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or
even touched – they must be felt with the heart.”
Samuel Walter Grimm, 45, of Bellingham, Washington passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021. Sam, son of Sam and Debbie Grimm, was born in Everett, Washington, on October 1, 1975. Sam is preceded in death by his father, grandparents, some aunts and uncles. He is survived by his mother, Debbie; his siblings, Jason, Alisha, Krista, Harley, and Rianna; and his children, Alabama, Samuel and Kaitlyn; and his granddaughter, Arraya.
Following his youth on Whidbey Island, Sam spent his years working in the landscaping industry, and general carpentry. He enjoyed working with his hands, and implemented his creativity and perfectionism into every job; he was never satisfied with his work unless it was perfect. Sam had a keen eye and was astute with the details. In addition to his work, Sam enjoyed being outside. He loved to camp, hike, and fish. He could spend everyday, all day, outside appreciating nature. The only time he preferred to be inside was when he was watching football, specifically the Patriots. In addition, for all who knew Sam, they knew that he had a deep love and appreciation for each individual friendship. He gave his whole heart to his friends, and he went out of his way to show kindness to friends and strangers, alike. More than anything, Sam’s greatest love and source of life was found in his love for his children. Nothing compared to the pride he felt for his kids. He loved them more than anything, and wanted nothing more than their happiness. Sam will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. May he find eternal peace in his next life.
