Obituary of Kathryn Holeman

Kathryn Faith Holeman, born March 3, 1920 in Bellingham to Edwin and Anna Holeman, passed away on February 1, 2008 at her home in Bellingham. She attended Silver Beach School, then Fairhaven High School, and graduated from Bellingham High School Class of 1937. Kathryn enjoyed making greeting cards, gourmet cooking, reading, gardening, and spending time with her loving family and friends. She worked for many restaurants in Bellingham and made many friends. Kathryn is survived by her children Kay Sanford and her husband Wayne of Sumas, Paul Ridley and his wife Karen of Bellingham, Rosemary Handerson and Arnie Vroman of Bellingham, siblings Larry Holeman and his wife Mary of Florida, Pete Holeman and his wife Arlene of Bellingham, Marion Oliver of Moses Lake, Ted Holeman of Bellingham, 13 grandchildren, and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Ken Holeman. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Whatcom County, especially Cindy, Mary, and Michelle, for all the special care and attention they gave. A special thanks to Karen Ridley for all her hard work and devotion.
