Obituary of Johnny Ray Cope

Johnny Ray Cope Jr., 34, of Everson, Washington, passed away on 12-24-2020 in his mother's home. He passed away from complications of stage 4 metastatic melanoma after an intense battle which lasted almost a year. Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Johnny was born in Lonestar, Texas to Donna Buckley and Johnny Ray Cope Sr. on May 11, 1986. He went to high school at Nooksack Valley High and graduated in 2004. He went on to earn many certificates and degrees including welding, septic inspection, and many more. He worked as a O & M Specialist and Septic pumper for Johnny's Septic Services for 5 years. Johnny was their number one driver. He enjoyed hiking, camping, kayaking, motorbiking, and video gaming among many other things. He really enjoyed the outdoors and exploring. He loved spending time with his little girl, family, and friends. Johnny is survived by his daughter, Westyn Mae McMillan. His mother Donna Buckley. His father Johnny Ray Cope Sr. His sisters; Angel, Starla, and LaKrista. His nephews; George, and Travis. His nieces; Kourtni, Piper, Chelsie, Halee, Pixie, Tayler, and Reign. His great nephew Jasper and many other loving family members. Johnny also had many friends who were like family to him. Everyone loved and adored Johnny. He was a very kind, caring, compassionate, loving, and genuine man. There was something extra special about Johnny that made everyone love to be around him. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone who came together in this extraordinary time of loss and supported Johnny. He will always be loved and missed far beyond what any number of words could ever describe. His wings were ready, but our hearts were not. John, Mom says she will always miss her warrior and hero.
