Obituary of Leonard Bjornstad
Leonard Bjornstad, 89, passed away on February 11, 2020. He was born to Melvin and Mervin Bjornstad in Rolette, North Dakota on April 14, 1930. He is survived by wife, Dolores of 71 years and his sons Leonard Jr. “Shorty” (Cindy), Mike, Jim (Windy), and daughter Penny (Rick) Olson, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and sister Darlene (Don) Gardner. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Loyal and four sisters, Delores, Dorothy, Donita and Donna Lou. Leonard drove logging truck in his younger years, later working as a carpenter. He hunted deer and elk with friends and his sons; he and Dolores traveled in their trailer across the states. They camped at Fish Lake and Jack's Resort with his family every spring and fall fishing season. He raised beef cattle, pigs and chickens. Leonard enjoyed gardening and loved golfing with Dolores, friends and grandkids.
