Obituary of Maxine Loomer

Maxine "Max" O. Loomer went to the arms of her Lord and Savior on October 27,2007, in Bellingham, WA, after a long lingering battle with her health. Born Maxine Tieman on May 8, 1941, she went home to join her father Willard C. (Tieman), mother Ruth (Tieman), brother Willard J. (Tieman) and grandchildren Micheal, Keiffer and Wee 1 (Tom). She will be forever missed but always remembered by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth "Bud" Loomer; daughter Kimberly (Phil) Assink of Everson, grandchildren Melinda and Daniel; son Scott (Iris) Loomer of Maui, grandsons Zachary and Shane; son Kent (Tina) Loomer of Ferndale, grandchildren Brewster, Alexis and Victoria; daughter Pamela (Russell) Tom of Nanaimo, granddaughters Garaline, Sahara and Sazil; as well as several good friends and family members. Max was a strong, caring, compassionate woman who was not only wife, mother, grandmother, but friend to all walks of life. She got more out of life by giving to others than receiving. Never one to judge, she was confident and secure in the person she was, a woman who lived by her values and wasn't afraid of what others might think. A wonderfully talented woman, she enjoyed sewing, drawing, crafting, and all sorts of projects. Known for her quick wit, sense of humor and wonderful dedication to everyone around her, she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. In accordance to her final wishes, a private viewing for the immediate family has been arranged with Jerns Funeral Chapel. The family asks that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in her honor to a Local Children's Charity of your choice.
