
Obituary of Steven B Jensen
Steven B. Jensen (age 71) entered into rest surrounded by his family at Whatcom Hospice House, Bellingham, WA. Steven was born on November 27, 1946 in Bellingham to Maurice and Marjorie (Myers) Jensen. He attended Bellingham High and continued his education at Edmonds Community College. Steven served in the United States Navy from 1967-1970. Reaching the rank of Boatswains Mate and was awarded the National Defenses Service Medal.
He took a real interest and passion in the Single Action Shooter Association. Cowboy shooting and gun smithing became his most favorite activities. When he wasn’t shooting competitively, Steven built models, fished, camped with his family and volunteered at the Lions Wheel Chair Warehouse performing repairs. Steven was an all-around handy man, always working on projects around the house.
Steven will most be remembered for his loyalty to his family and friends, love of the outdoors, gardening and his wicked sense of humor. He was always willing to help anyone who needed assistance. A few of his most noted qualities that will always be remembered was his intelligence, faithfulness and his love for his family.
He is survived by his wife Catherine (Webster) whom he married on August 12, 1989 in Bellingham, WA; son, Moss I Jensen of Pennsylvania; daughter, Katrina Jensen of California; brother, Scott Jensen of Bellingham; sister, Gretchen Elverfeld and one grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Fred Jensen.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Squalicum Boat House at Zuanich Point Park 2600 N. Harbor Loop Dr. Bellingham. A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at a later date at the Lynden City Cemetery.
