Arnold (Arne) Henry Peterson, age 70. passed away June 28, 2021. He was born June 8, 1951 in Squaw Harbor, Alaska. Arne graduated from Bellingham High School class of 1969 . Soon following graduation He served with the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974 finishing with the rank of SP4. Some of Arne's hobbies were wrought iron metal working. He created many beautiful fences and gates around Whatcom County. He was also a meticulous woodworker and carpenter. Pastimes included being on the water and was often competing in the sailboat races on Bellingham Bay. Or he was in a speed boat chasing seagulls, If not on the water he was on the golf course. Rain or shine, he was playing golf! Else wise he was working on hot rods or playing cards with his buddies. For many years he worked as an auto mechanic with Liquidation Auto, and lastly with his friend Jack Johnson. Arne is predeceased by his mother Gertrude Peterson, maternal grandparents Henry and Ida Peterson, older brother Dale Peterson and younger brother Ivan Huber Jr. He is survived by his step-daughter Melissa (Steve) Benson, brother Ralph (Susan) Peterson, Sisters Shannon Huber, Sharron Peterson, and Sharmaine (Robert) McIntyre, nephews Zach (Rachel) Peterson, Dylan Peat, nieces Tiffani Peterson, Kiana Noland- Tom and numerous cousins.
